Independence Day

Ghana celebrated their 58th Independence Day on 6th March 2015. Already the week before our teaching was suffering because the school kids had to practice the parade. In every village they do it. However,  I decided to go to Accra and watch the big parade at Black Star Square. I was there early in the morning to get a nice place to sit. It was a big show and it took many hours. Selected schools were marching and all armed forces, like police, military and so on. Dancers and artists performed. Even the air forces and the divers took part. This day everybody I met was in a good mood. The Ghanaians are still proud of their country and their history.
